چکیده
Background and Objective: Fracture of the distal radius is one most common skeletal injuries treated by orthopaedic surgeons. For a favourable functional outcome, radial length, tilt angle, articular surface congruity must all be restored. Recognition fracture patterns fixation to maintain reduction key for successful management complex fractures radius. Volar locking plates allow improved without leading soft tissue vascular complications. They have been shown provide excellent stability an unstable with volar Metaphyseal comminution. The objective study was evaluate clinical outcome end ORIF plate screws using Criteria Gartland Werley Point System. Methods: Thirty patients were in Karnataka institute medical sciences, hubballi. Between from November 2020 September 2022. Results: included 30 patients, 27 male 3 females aged 21 69 years mean 33.53 years. average duration follow-up 12 months. Using Demerit scoring system score, we had 20% results, 50% good 16.67% fair results 13.3% poor result. As per our found 70% patients. Interpretation & Conclusion: can alternative other procedures treating extra-articular displacement Barton’s Excellent are produced fractures.

Distal radius nonunion after volar locking plate fixation of a distal radius fracture: a case report
We describe a 59-year-old man who had nonunion of a right distal radius fracture after volar locking plate fixation. He underwent open reduction and internal fixation with a volar locking plate system for a dorsally displaced, unstable distal radius fracture at a previous hospital 5 months ago. Radiographs of the injured wrist showed nonunion of the distal radius with 1.5-mm ulnar minus varianc...
متن کاملMechanical failure of the distal radius volar locking plate.
PURPOSE To review 9 cases of mechanical failure of the volar locking plate for distal radial fractures. METHODS Records of 374 consecutive patients who underwent volar locking plating for distal radial fractures were reviewed. Mechanical failures of the volar locking plate were defined as plate breakage or bending, screw breakage or loosening, or collapse of articular fragments resulting in i...
متن کاملEvaluation of Functional Outcome of Volar Barton Distal End Radius Fractures Managed by Internal Fixation with Volar Butress Plate-a Prospective Study
Background and Objectives: The management of Volar Barton’s fractures either by operative or conservative means is a difficult problem. The present study was conducted with an objective to analyze the clinical and functional results of these fractures fixed internally using volar buttress plate.
متن کاملBreakage of a volar locking plate after delayed union of a distal radius fracture.
This is a case report of a 58-year-old obese, diabetic female who sustained a dorsally angulated distal radius fracture, treated with a volar locking plate. Union was delayed and the plate broke. The fracture healed after repeated surgery involving replacement of the plate and grafting with demineralised bone matrix. Delayed unions of distal radius fractures are rare. This case shows that fract...
متن کاملFailure of volar locking plate fixation of an extraarticular distal radius fracture: A case report
BACKGROUND Volar locking plates provide significant structural stability to the distal radius. Failure of a volar locked plating is a rarely reported complication in the literature. CASE PRESENTATION A 40 year-old, obese female patient who presented with a displaced extraarticular distal radius fracture, underwent open reduction and internal fixation of the fracture using a volar locking plat...
